Innovation ParkInnovation Park, LLC (UWM Real Estate Foundation sole member) is pleased to announce that it closed on the land purchase of an 88 acre parcel on the northeast quadrant of the Wauwatosa County Grounds on February 15, 2011.

Innovation Park Eschweiler Buildings: Status on Graffiti Removal

The UWM Real Estate Foundation is deeply saddened to be the victims of vandalism.  The Eschweiler Buildings within Innovation Park are historical structures and the removal of graffiti has to follow the requirements set by the National Parks Service in order to protect the integrity of the masonry.  It was originally thought the affected area could be cleaned through a sand blasting or soda blasting method, however this method of cleaning is prohibited on historical structures.  We are now pursuing a non-abrasive, environmentally safe chemical cleaning process.  The UWM Real Estate Foundation is working to have this matter resolved as soon as possible, in the safest way possible, to ensure that the buildings do not sustain any further damage.  We would like to thank the community for their patience as we work to resolve this matter.    

The UWM Real Estate Foundation has signed a contract with the contractor that will be removing the graffiti. The graffiti will be removed in accordance with the National Park Service restrictions on historically protected buildings. Construction begins on Innovation Park

The shovels were out well before the first frost on Tuesday, August 9th as UW-Milwaukee and the UWM Real Estate Foundation officially signaled the beginning of construction on Innovation Park, UWM's academic research and technical park near the largest academic health cluster in Southeastern Wisconsin.

LEED Gold Certified The UWM Real Estate Foundation is excited to announce that Cambridge Commons received LEED Gold Certification in January 2011.   Cambridge Commons opened to students in August 2010.
